Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Execute major structural repairs, including frame straightening, alignment, reinforcement, and sectioning using frame racks, hydraulic equipment, and precision measuring tools.
  • Conduct cab swaps (complete cab removals, installations, and alignments) on Class 8 trucks, ensuring proper fitment, wiring integration, HVAC connections, and component transfers.
  • Repair or replace damaged body panels, hoods, fenders, bumpers, doors, sleepers, roofs, and other components using welding (MIG/TIG), riveting, bonding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
  • Handle heavy repair work on chassis, crossmembers, suspension, and related structural elements to restore vehicle integrity.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in collision repair or heavy-duty truck body repair preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in heavy truck collision/structural repair, with demonstrated proficiency in Class 8 trucks.
  • Proven expertise in cab swaps, frame work/straightening, and heavy structural repairs on brands such as Mack, Kenworth, Freightliner, and other heavy-duty trucks.

Pay Range

USD $32.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.
