Overview

Fleet Mobile Maintenance is a fleet service provider specializing in onsite fleet maintenance.

We are growing rapidly as our service is exceptional and we need a General Manager to oversee daily operations, customer satisfaction and financial performance across multiple fleet maintenance and diesel repair locations within the Southeast region.

This role ensures operational excellence, safety, and growth while maintaining strong customer and employee relationships.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Key Responsibilities

    Operational Leadership

    • Provide day-to-day oversight of operations, mobile service, and regional field teams.
    • Ensure productivity, quality, and efficiency align with company standards and customer expectations.
    • Drive execution of KPIs including uptime, PM compliance, repair quality, and turnaround times.
    • Ensure proper staffing levels and workforce planning for all regional operations.
    • Oversee parts availability, inventory practices, and vendor relationships.

    Customer & Relationship Management

    • Maintain proactive communication with key customer accounts.
    • Resolve escalated customer concerns and ensure high satisfaction levels.
    • Partner with sales and account managers to support customer retention and growth.

    People Management

    • Lead, coach, and develop Regional Managers and Technicians.
    • Support hires, onboarding, performance reviews, and corrective action when necessary.
    • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

    Financial & Business Oversight

    • Own P&L performance for the regional operations.
    • Monitor financial metrics including labor cost, parts utilization, revenue targets, and margins.
    • Identify operational gaps and implement cost-control and process-improvement measures.
    • Support pricing, quoting, and business development efforts within the region.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and internal safety protocols.
    • Conduct safety meetings, audits, and corrective action plans when required.
    • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant facilities and service vehicles.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
  • Requirements

    • 5-10+ years of management experience in fleet maintenance, diesel repair, automotive service, or heavy equipment.
    • Strong leadership experience managing technicians, supervisors, or multi-site operations.
    • Industry knowledge in diesel engines, DOT regulations, preventative maintenance, and job workflow.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage financials (budgeting, P&L, margins, labor utilization).
    • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to travel within the Southeast region as needed.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with mobile service operations and field technician oversight.
    • Strong understanding of fleet technology systems and maintenance software.
