Penn Jersey Diesel & Trailer, a respected family-owned business known for quality repairs and strong customer relationships, is growing again—and we’re looking for a Mobile Trailer Technician Trainee to join our team. This is a hands-on career opportunity for recent tech school grads or mechanically inclined individuals looking to break into a high-demand field with long-term stability and advancement.

What You’ll Learn & Do:

Under the guidance of experienced mobile technicians, you will be trained to:

• Perform on-site trailer maintenance and minor repairs from a mobile service unit

• Conduct FHWA inspections and preventive maintenance

• Make minor body and structural repairs (e.g., corner caps, panel patches, door fixes)

• Troubleshoot and repair lighting, air hose, brake, and airbag systems

• Represent Penn Jersey with professionalism and pride while working independently in the field

Trainee Qualifications:

We’re looking for individuals who bring enthusiasm, reliability, and a mechanical mindset:

• Recent technical school graduate OR

• Skilled trade experience in automotive, trailer, diesel, electrical, or carpentry

• Excellent attendance record in school or prior work

• Strong work ethic, dependability, and eagerness to learn

• Ability to eventually work independently and serve as the “face of the company” at customer locations

What You’ll Receive:

• Starting hourly pay of $20–$25/hour, depending on experience

• 3–6 months of in-house, supervised training

• Access to commission-based earnings after 90 days based on truck profitability
