Overview

Oversees the EHS programs across our mobile maintenance operations throughout the United States. This role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive safety, health, and environmental programs that safeguard employees, enhance compliance, and drive the company’s competitive edge in the industry. As the EHS Manager, you will provide strategic direction, ensure regulatory compliance, and play a key role in fostering a safety culture that protects our employees and clients while supporting growth and operational goals.

Responsibilities

Create and manage compliance programs and safety management systems focusing on employee safety, health, environmental protection, and regulatory adherence. Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations related to transportation safety and implement necessary updates.

Conduct hazard analysis and site evaluations, identify potential risks, and develop proactive solutions to minimize workplace incidents and injuries. Manage safety processes to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

 

Analyze accident and incident reports to identify trends and root causes. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences.

 

Coordinate responses to accidents, incidents, and emergencies. Lead or assist in investigations to determine the causes of accidents and implement corrective actions


Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies, handling inspections, compliance issues, and employee safety concerns related to OSHA, DOT, and other relevant regulations.


Provide oversight and guidance on safety processes, reduce safety-related losses, and ensure high standards of operational safety. Act as a key resource for developing and executing safety strategies.

Develop and deliver training programs for employees and supervisors on safety protocols, industrial hygiene, ergonomic practices, and hazardous material handling. Ensure continuous improvement of staff skills, focusing on safe maintenance practices and compliance.

Track key performance metrics related to safety, health, and environmental compliance. Provide regular updates and results-based insights to senior leadership, including trends, safety incident analyses, and regulatory compliance metrics.

Work closely with other departments and brands to align EHS initiatives with business objectives. Act as a safety subject matter expert for cross-functional projects.

Drive the development and implementation of innovative safety solutions, creating new safety protocols emergency response protocols and enhancing existing processes to support commitment to operational excellence and employee well-being.

 

Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure new hires receive comprehensive safety training.

Oversee safety and OSHA requirements and compliance. Provide oversight and analysis of overall safety incidences.

Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

 

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

5+ years working with OSHA, DOT, and Enviornmental regulations, with a proven track record of managing compliance in a dynamic, field based enviornment

 

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or other recognized EHS certifications.

Proven experience with implementing EHS management systems, conducting hazard assessments, and driving continuous improvement in EHS performance.

 

Travel Requirements:

Travel up to 50%

Pay Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Yr.
